What is Autoclave Medicine

Autoclave is a double walled metal sterilization device resistant to high pressure. Autoclave devices can be in forms such as square or rectangular. There are the following elements in autoclave devices. These;

The faucet for putting water into the boiler,
Faucet providing air and steam output,
Manometer,
safety valve,
The faucet that allows the steam to escape,
Autoclave devices work by using electrical energy. The desired steam is produced in the boiler. Air passes through the open valve until the boiler is filled with saturated steam.

What are the Types of Autoclave Device?
They can be defined as large or small autoclave devices according to the materials put into the autoclave devices.

Small Autoclave Devices: These are autoclave devices that cannot fit in a 30x30x60 cm box and are below 60 liters. These devices can operate in three different cycles.
N Type Sterilization Cycle (Non-Wraooed) – They work with the principle of gravity. They are only used for sterilization processes of unpackaged and lumenless materials. It would not be right to prefer them as a routine sterilization program.
S Type Sterilization Cycle (Specified) – It works with pre-vacuum power. They are sterilization devices generally used for dentistry.
B Type Sterilization Cycle (Big) – It works with fractionated pre-vacuum power. It is used for the sterilization of all kinds of medical devices with or without a package, with or without a lumen.
Large Autoclave Devices: Large autoclaves have a vessel large enough to fit a 30x30x60 cm box. According to the working principles of these autoclaves, they are divided into three as gravity, pre-vacuum or fractionated pre-vacuum steam autoclaves. The most common autoclaves are gravity and pre-vacuum autoclaves.
How Are Autoclaves Operated?
The packaged vehicles are loaded into the autoclave in a suitable way and sterilization processes are carried out. Autoclave working principle can be listed as follows;

The chart recorder, pressure, humidity control and similar indicators of the autoclave device are physically controlled.
All necessary control tests are carried out in accordance with the technique and placed in the device chamber.
The cover of the device is closed.
The device is entered for the operation program.
Monitoring is done while the device is running.
After the procedure, the autoclave is opened to the sterile area.
